A NEW group for women in Birmingham is aiming to raise money for the city’s Hippodrome Theatre.
Leading Ladies is hoping to raise £5,000 for the theatre’s £1 million appeal to replace its current stage.
The group will be launched on August 30 by Radio WM presenter Joanne Malin with a black tie and tiara event, which will also include a ticket to a performance of Top Hat.
The musical, with Holby City’s Tom Chambers and West End performer Summer Strallen, is based on the Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire classic film.
