A YOUNG Birmingham silversmith is sharing her skills with visitors to a National Trust landmark this summer.
Theresa Nguyen, aged 25, who grew up in Shirley and has a workshop in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, will be a ‘silversmith in residence’ at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire.
The Hall is home to Lord Curzon and his family and the current building dates back to the 1760s.
It was used as a the key location for the Hollywood blockbuster The Duchess.
It is the second time the National Trust has organised such an event and Theresa, who gained a first in Jewellery and Silversmithing at Birmingham School of Jewellery, is delighted to take centre stage.
Visitors to the hall, which dates back to the 1760s, see pieces created by Theresa and can also watch her work at a bench at the Goldmsiths’ Company Studio Silver Today event.
