Midlands misses out on latest heatwave - with showers and humidity instead

SUN-SEEKERS in the West Midlands are to miss out on the latest heatwave.

Experts at the Met Office said the region would have a chance of light showers and high humidity for the coming days.

Temperatures will remain around 23C for the rest of the week.

It is a far cry from London and the South East, which will see a scorching 30C this week.

“The Midlands won’t be the hottest place but not the coolest either,” said Dan Williams, from the Met Office. “Residents should expect some warm air and light showers. It will feel very close and humid throughout the week.”
