Birmingham looter 'boasts of stealing TV and tracksuits for his children'

A BIRMINGHAM looter rang up his ex-girlfriend boasting he took a TV and tracksuits for their children.

His ex-partner’s mum was so disgusted she told the Birmingham Mail she was going to ring the police and report him.

And unlike many of the looters, who were reported to be youths, the woman said her daughter’s ex-boyfriend was aged 30.

She also claimed the father-of-three boys received dole money but worked cash-in-hand.

The 50-year-old grandmother, who would not be named, said: “My daughter’s ex-partner was boasting but he’s never worked a day in his life.

“He boasted about what he’d done. He reckoned he’d got a TV, tracksuits for the kids and jumpers.”

The woman said the man claimed he stole the items during his rampage through the city centre.

“It makes me feel sick,” she said. “You live here, you work all your life and you get people like that.”
