V Festival goers urged not to use sat-navs

FESTIVAL goers are being urged not to rely on satellite navigation systems when making their way to V in Staffordshire later this month.

Police and Staffordshire Country Council have issued advice for the 90,000 people expected to attend the event in Weston-under-Lizard, near Stafford, from August 19 to August 22.

Music fans have been told they may face longer delays due to diversions and road closures if they use navigation devices. They have been urged to use trains or buses.

Drop-off and collection points will be signposted from both directions on the A5.
