A TEENAGER was repeatedly punched and kicked as he lay defenceless on the ground by two robbers who stole his mobile phone.

The 17-year-old victim had just walked his girlfriend home and was in Cooks Lane, Kingshurst, when he was attacked in the early hours of August 7.

Police believe he was followed by two men before they pounced on him.

Officers have now released CCTV footage of one suspect seen riding a small, red BMX-style bike at the time of the attack.

PC Chris Burt, said: “He was punched in the face and repeatedly kicked whilst on the floor. We believe both offenders are from the local area.”

The cycling suspect is said to be in his late teens, slim with short dark hair.

His accomplice is believed to be about the same age, skinny with short fair hair and was wearing a black Nike tracksuit.
