A BIRMINGHAM butchers was the scene of a fight between four men said to have involved a knife and knuckle duster today.
A butcher who works at Classic Meats, in Stratford Road, Shirley, said two men raced into the shop to get away from two other men who chased after them, this afternoon.
The man, who did not want to be named, said the men in pursuit carried the weapons and used them to attack the first two men.
He said: “They just came in and started laying into them. These two lads being attacked started throwing jars and bottles at them. Half the stock ended up on the street.”
It’s understood that the fight may be the culmination of a long-running dispute between two parties.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said two men were in hospital with minor head injuries.
Up to about £2,000 in damages was thought to have been caused after a cabinet was also smashed and blood-spattered stock had to be thrown away.
The butcher added: “It looked like a butcher’s shop you could say.
