Gridiron man Wayne Hill, from Halesowen, is up for his US challenge

TEACHER Wayne Hill will be in the thick of the action when a team of young American football stars takes on the rest of the world next year.

Wayne, an assistant head teacher in Rowley Regis, will be dishing out key advice to players aiming to take down the American team’s quarterback at the USA Football International Bowl.

The married 35-year-old has been selected as the UK’s only, and first ever, representative for the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) World Development team.

Wayne, who is the American football head coach at the University of Birmingham, will take up the role of linebackers coach for the IFAF team. He’ll be calling the plays for the best American football players from around the world aged 17-18.
