MORE than a dozen suspects wanted in connection with the riots that shamed Birmingham were arrested in their beds in a series of dramatic dawn swoops.

More than 100 officers helped detain 13 people over alleged links to the looting and violence which erupted in the city centre and beyond in August.

One of the suspects was arrested in Devon after being tracked down by West Midlands Police.

The swoops came as the Birmingham Mail today re-printed the CCTV images of all those yet to be identified and called on readers to help bring them to justice.

West Midlands Police also released more CCTV images of people officers want to trace.
