OAP victim of handbag robbery

POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery in Walsall.

An elderly woman was walking down Hillingford Avenue, Pheasey, at 2.45pm on Thursday when she was approached from behind by a man.

The attacker grabbed her handbag, twisted her arm and pushed her to the ground.

He made off with her handbag containing an amount of cash and personal items.

The man made off towards Hursley Road and into Wimperis Way. He got into a car driven by someone else.

The vehicle was pointing towards Beacon Road. It was also seen parked next to some flats in Bonnington Way. The vehicle wass described as dark red, make and model unknown.

The offender was described as white, aged 17-18, 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build. He wore a dark coloured baseball cap, dark red jumper and dark coloured bottoms.
