Landmark Black Country pubs are put up for sale

The Samson and Lion in Bilston.

TWO well-known Midland pubs have been put up for sale.

The Samson and Lion, at Bilston, and Ye Olde Saltbrook Inn, in Lye, have been put on the open market through the Birmingham office of specialist licensed property agents Fleurets.

Andy Tudor, of Fleurets, said that both pubs represented an excellent opportunity.

He said the Samson and Lion, in Newbolt Road, Bilston, was a substantial property close to Bilston town centre.

"This pub represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish a solid community-focused business. It has an abundance of potential trade in the immediate vicinity and with some fresh ideas I am confident new owners could make this venue a real success," he explained.

Mr Tudor said that Ye Olde Saltbrook Inn, in Hayes Lane, Lye, was also full of potential.

"Due to its prominent location and mix of residential and industrial properties in the immediate area, this pub offers plenty of scope for new owners, and could develop into a thriving business," he said.

"I fully expect interest in its availability to be brisk."

Anyone interested in the pubs should contact Mr Tudor at Fleurets on 0121 236 5252.
