Woman OAP killed in car smash

A WOMAN was killed in a collision with a car early today in the Midlands.

Officers were called to Ring Road, near to the junction with Worcester Street, Stourbridge, shortly after 9am following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

A woman, believed to be in her late 70s, was taken to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.

Worcester Street and the Ring Road were closed while inquiries were made at the scene. People were advised to avoid the area this morning.

Any witnesses are urged to contact the road policing unit at Halesowen police station on 0845 113 5000.
