Van driver killed in Cannock lorry crash
A van driver has died after his vehicle collided with a lorry on the A5 near Cannock, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
The man, whose age has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at Churchbridge at about 4am.
An ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and an incident support officer were dispatched to the scene and found the van driver lying on the floor outside of his vehicle.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene. No-one else was injured."
