A CONFISCATION order for just £1 has been made against a disgraced travel agent who stole more than £40,000 – because he couldn’t afford to pay the money back.

Shaun Allsopp, 24, from Wednesbury, West Midlands, stole £10,000 from bosses at Peter Chawner Travel, siphoned £11,000 from his father’s bank account and money from a local firm.

In July Allsopp was given a 12-month suspended sentence.
