Tree planting to shield Walsall residents from M6 motorway noise
Feb 9 2010 by Matt Lloyd, Birmingham Mail
MORE than 500 trees will be planted to shield homes from noise created by the M6 in the Black Country.
Highways bosses announced the planting between Junction 10 and 10a, Walsall, will see evergreens placed to deflect noise from passing traffic. Residents along the busy stretch of road claim their lives have been blighted by noise since trees were removed for works to take place late last year.
