Caught on Camera: Five women sought for string of purse snatches
POLICE have released security camera images of five women they want to trace after two elderly women had their purses stolen in the Black Country.
In the first incident an 81-year-old woman was targeted.
She was shopping in the Card Factory in Church Street, Bilston, at about 1.45pm on Wednesday September 8 when she was approached by a European woman who began talking to her.
Minutes later, she discovered that her purse, containing her pension card and around £250 in cash, was missing.
A short time later an attempt was made to withdraw money from the victim’s account in a post office.
Police are keen to speak to three women featured in the CCTV images, who were filmed attempting to make a withdrawal from a cash machine at the Post Office in Hall Street, Bilston.
