Caught on Camera: Cheeky raiders who struck in broad daylight
THESE CCTV pictures show four men wanted by police following a burglary in Birmingham.
The burglars were captured by a neighbour’s privately-owned cameras, which caught one of the men checking to see that nobody was in the house.
The burglary happened just after 7pm on June 2, in Reddings Road, Moseley.
All four men smashed a window at the back of the property.
They fled from the house with a laptop, when the residents’ burglar alarm sounded.
They left the house heading for Queensbridge Road and were spotted speeding away in a small white van.
Three of the men were described as white, around 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall and all in their 20s. The fourth man was described as Asian and the same height as the others. He was thought to have been in his late teens.
All wore casual clothing including hooded tops, trainers and either jeans or tracksuit bottoms.
Det Con Kerri Buckley, who is investigating the incident, said: “We think these burglars may have been trying to steal keys to a car parked on the drive, but the house alarm scared them away, and they only made off with a laptop.
“Thanks to the vigilance of the victim and neighbours in the area we have the CCTV images. Hopefully somebody will recognise them.
“We have had a few similar offences in the area over the past month that we believe may be linked to these offenders, so we are keen to identify them.
“These burglars targeted a nice family and we want to make sure we stop them.”
