Body found in hunt for missing chef
A body has been found in a river in the city where university chef Claudia Lawrence disappeared a month ago.
North Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the River Ouse at Bishopthorpe Bridge in Fulford at 10.48am.
Police said there was no indication that the body was linked to the disappearance of the 35-year-old.
A force spokesman said the area had been cordoned off while police investigated.
He added that inquiries were still continuing into the identity of the body.
