Deported 'Nazi' arrives in Germany

Suspected Nazi death camp guard John Demjanjuk has arrived in Germany where he faces a warrant accusing him of being accessory to the murder of 29,000 Jews and others at Sobibor.

The retired Ohio autoworker was deported from the United States and arrived on a private jet at Munich's airport.

Ukrainian-born Demjanjuk claims he was a Red Army soldier who was captured by the Nazis and spent the rest of the war as their prisoner.

But prosecutors say there is proof he was a guard at the Sobibor death camp in occupied Poland.

The 89-year-old will now be taken before a judge and formally arrested.

He also has to undergo a medical evaluation to see if he is fit to stand trial.
