Abortion doctor shot dead at church
A late-term abortion doctor has been shot dead at church in the United States.
George Tiller, 67, was killed on Sunday morning at the Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas, said a City Hall official.
Police spokesman Gordon Bassham said the gunman fled the scene in a 1993 powder blue Ford Taurus registered in another part of the state.
Dr Tiller was one of few US physicians prepared to performing late-term abortions.
His clinic has repeatedly been the site of protests and he was shot and wounded by a protester in 1993.
