Eton alert as swine flu total rises
Another 15 cases of swine flu have been confirmed and 32 suspected cases have been identified at Eton College.
The new patients included one travel-related case which is believed to be the first detected in Wales.
The UK's total number of swine flu cases is now 244, said the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
A number of schools, including Eton, have been forced to close because of the disease in recent weeks.
Parents of pupils at the public school in Berkshire will receive a letter from health officials stating there are 32 suspected cases of swine flu at the school.
The Windsor school, which was attended by Princes William and Harry, said on Thursday it would shut for a week after a 13-year-old pupil tested positive for the illness. It will remain closed until June 7.
Now the HPA has written to parents confirming of a further seven probable and 25 possible cases.
In the letter, the HPA said: "In general these students have mild illness. It is highly likely that these will be positive for Swine Influenza."
The agency is offering antiviral drugs to both pupils and staff.
Pupils taking public examinations at Eton are being allowed to return to do so under controlled conditions.
