Pregnant mother stabbed to death
A pregnant young mother has been stabbed to death.
The woman, who was in her 20s, was attacked on Sunday afternoon in Grimsby, Humberside Police said.
She was taken to hospital but died later from her injuries.
A 53-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the incident, which happened in Victoria Street South shortly before 4pm.
A force spokeswoman said: "Police became aware at 3.52pm that a woman had been seriously assaulted on Victoria Street South in Grimsby.
"The woman was taken to the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital with serious injuries.
"Sadly, the woman has died in hospital. She was in her 20s and she was pregnant. She was from Grimsby and she had been stabbed.
"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses."
