Porn images 'were taken in nursery'
Some of the indecent images of children which triggered the arrest of a Devon nursery worker were taken inside the day care unit where she was employed, police have said.
Vanessa George, 39, was charged with seven offences including making and distributing indecent images of children and sexual assault.
George, who worked at the Little Ted's nursery in Laira, remains in police custody and faces Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
George, from Efford, Plymouth, faces two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault by touching, and three further counts of making, possessing and distributing indecent images of children.
At a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed their investigation was focused on the alleged exchange of material between George and Colin Blanchard, 38, from Littleborough, near Rochdale.
Blanchard was on Tuesday charged with possession and distribution of indecent images.
Senior officers told the press this afternoon that they were currently looking at a "small number" of images on a camera phone, some of which they believed were taken inside the Little Ted's nursery.
The nursery, which operates from an adjoining school and church, remains closed.
Little Ted's operates from Laira Green Primary School and Laira United Church Hall.
Children are aged between two and five, but youngsters up to 11 can attend breakfast and after-school clubs.
