Chef 'did not chose to disappear'
The father of missing chef Claudia Lawrence has insisted he is "absolutely convinced" she did not go missing of her own accord as he spoke of his frustration at three months of silence.
But Peter Lawrence refused to criticise police as he admitted his family were no closer to being reunited with the 35-year-old university chef.
Mr Lawrence said a police search of a pub near her home, in the York suburb of Heworth, earlier this week was not of "particular significance" to the case.
But as he said her disappearance remained a "mystery" three months on, he added: "I am not frustrated with their investigation - I am frustrated with whoever is out there who has not come forward to help.
"I am absolutely convinced this is not something she has chosen to do herself."
