Prison officers end wildcat strikes
Hundreds of prison officers involved in wildcat strikes have returned to work, the Prison Officers' Association (POA) has confirmed.
Walkouts which began at Liverpool prison on Tuesday in a row over alleged "bullying" spread to other prisons in the North West of England on Wednesday afternoon, said the POA.
But officers have returned to work after managers agreed to a meeting on Monday to discuss the Liverpool dispute.
