Land Rover Discovery voted in women's motoring awards

LAND Rover added another accolade as the Discovery 3 was voted Family 4x4 in the women’s motoring website evecars.com Car of the Year Awards.

The Solihull-built car, which has won more awards than any other Land Rover model, beat the Hyundai Santa Fe and the VW Tiguan.

The judging panel of women, along with What Car? editor Steve Fowler, tested each vehicle’s driving characteristics, comfort, practicality and space.

Evecars.com editor, Alex Jenner-Fust, said: “The Discovery 3 is the ultimate 4x4: it’s comfortable, feels modern and will tackle anything.

“It’s not cheap, but it’s as happy helping you haul the whole family and their luggage to the top of a mountain and back as when you’re chauffeuring six friends to the cinema in style.”

Land Rover’s UK managing director, John Edwards, said: “We are extremely proud of the Discovery 3.
