Murdered Marston Green mum told police of threats

A MUM-of-two found dead after her estranged husband’s apparent suicide was stabbed to death, police revealed today.
West Midlands Police said a post-mortem examination revealed the woman, who was named locally as Helen Findlay, died of multiple stab wounds to the upper chest.
The body of the 36-year-old woman was discovered on Tuesday afternoon when police went to a detached home in Holly Lane, Marston Green, after the death of a 41-year-old man, named by neighbours as her husband Mark Findlay, at Marston Green railway station two hours earlier.

It also emerged the dead woman had called police last Thursday claiming someone had super glued both her car doors, and the locks to her front door.
Police watchdogs said she had expressed concerns to police the incident was related to “previous threats” from her estranged husband.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has now launched in independent inquiry into the action police officers took following last week’s call.
