Balsall Common tennis club wins award

BERKSWELL and Balsall Common Tennis Club has received recognition from the LTA for its “excellent standards” with the presentation of Tennis Clubmark.

The long-established club in Meeting House Lane is now one of about 400 clubs out of 2,700 nationally which have attained this accolade. As a result, the LTA will now support and endorse the club’s tennis programme, policies and procedures, action and development planning, and club management.

Club chairman Bob Harris said: “We are delighted with the recognition. This is a tribute to the hard work of our coaching team and the volunteers who serve on our management committee.”
