Joy at £1,150 grant for toys

MORE fun has been injected into learning at a village pre-school.

Youngsters at Kings Bromley Pre-School, in Kings Bromley, near Lichfield, are enjoying playing with a colourful array of new toys thanks to a shot in the arm from Coun Janet Eagland, of Staffordshire County Council.

The pre-school, held at Kings Bromley Village Hall in Alrewas Road, has been able to replace worn-out and donated toys after securing a £1,150 grant under the county's Local Member Initiative Scheme.

School supervisor Tina Martin said: "We're thrilled to have won this grant. It's so rewarding to see the children enjoying playing and learning with all the fantastic new toys."

Coun Eagland said: "The Local Member Initiative Scheme is all about giving something back to the community and to taxpayers so this is an excellent way for this money to be spent."

The pre-school runs from 9.30am to noon every day except Thursday, when a fun mother and toddler session is run from 10am until noon.

The school has no postcode restrictions and Busy Bees vouchers are accepted.
