Jade statue stolen in raid

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after raiders broke into a restaurant and stole a statue.

Officers from Cannock were called to the Water Magic restaurant, on the A5, at 9.30am on January 29, after it had been broken into overnight.

Intruders stole a statue made from jade valued at £4,000. It was wrapped up and stored in a wooden case. They also stole copper pipe and fittings worth about £300.
