New hope in pub fight

A COMPANY today insisted it had not not decided to sell a historic pub in a Staffordshire village.

The Birmingham Mail revealed last week that a campaign had begun to fight the apparent closure of The Black Horse Inn, at Edingale, near Tamworth, which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.

Organisers of the Save oUr Pub (SUP) campaign also claimed that Solihull-based owners Enterprise Inns had put it up for sale.

But a spokesman for Enterprise Inns said: "No final decision has yet been made as to the future of the pub."
