Alert over Spanish lottery scam
RESIDENTS are being warned to be on their guard for a scam that promises to award them substantial amounts of money on a Spanish lottery Staffordshire County Council are telling people not to be duped by Loteria International, which promises riches but ends up plundering cash from the "winning" bank accounts.
The warning comes after an elderly lady from the Tamworth area received a letter in the post claiming that she had won over £600,000 which needed to be urgently claimed.
