Doc case adjourned

THE case against a Stafford doctor accused of killing a patient with an injection of adrenaline nearly 10 years ago has been further adjourned at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Anaesthetist Dr Priya Ramnath is accused of the manslaughter of 51-year-old Patricia Leighton who was a patient at Staffordshire General Hospital when she died in 1998.

The 39-year-old doctor, a mother- of-two, was further remanded on conditional bail by The Honourable Mr Justice Goldring. The next hearing is scheduled for a date in October.
