Man dies after being hit by train in Tamworth

A MAN has died after being hit by a train in Staffordshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a train near to Coton Lane in Comberford, Tamworth, shortly after 6pm on Sunday.

The man was confirmed dead at the scene.

The man has not yet been named by Staffordshire Police.
