The Duchess has joined forces with Arsenal striker Theo Walcott in a bid to inspire a love of reading in schoolchildren.
The pair launched the 2012 Premier League Reading Stars (PLRS) initiative to encourage youngsters and their parents to enhance their literary skills. Camilla and the England international met around 80 pupils at the Emirates Stadium in north London to talk about the initiative which sees footballers trying to encourage children and their families to read together.
The Duchess was also given a tour of the stadium and paid an impromptu visit to the club’s changing rooms. "I am rather tempted by the bath," she said after peering into the players’ communal tub.
