Rubbing shoulders with the stars

Most people can only dream about getting their hands on their favourite pop stars - but student Jamila Sadek does it in the name of charity.

The beauty therapy student, who attends Solihull College, lived out the dream of millions to massage the bare flesh of a clutch of celebrities.

The 27-year-old, who lives in Solihull, got to grips with Lemar, The Cheeky Girls, Natasha Bedingfield and McFly to raise cash for Solihullbased charity Active Foundation.

Jamila put her massage skills to good use at the Music XS music event in Nottingham with the cash going towards support services for children and disabled people.

Jamila said: "I was really happy to be asked to volunteer. The day in Nottingham was totally inspirational.

"Not only did I get to rub shoulders with major celebrities, the work I was doing was for a brilliant cause. The celebrities were all really friendly.

"My friends were so excited and jealous about me meeting Lemar. It was a fabulous experience."

Ann Baddeley, Founder of Active Foundation, said: "I contacted the College and asked them to put their best student forward for the charity's work experience programme. Jamila's name was mentioned straight away."
