Holiday fun in the mansion

A VICTORIAN mansion has thrown open its doors this week with a host of fun events.

Tomorrow at Haden Hill House, Cradley Heath, children can learn how to make a collage of autumn leaves at a drop-in workshop. There is no need to book the session, which starts at 2pm and costs 50p.

Magician Stephen Paul will be in residence on Sunday afternoon entertaining children with his wonderful spooky show.

Tickets are priced at £3 and are on sale now from the house.

On the same day St John Ambulance members will be at the house donning gruesome casualty make-up such as fake cuts, bruises and black eyes.

There will be a small charge for this event with the proceeds going to St John Ambulance.

Sandwell Council's cabinet member for culture and leisure Coun Linda Horton said: "All these events have an emphasis on fun and should appeal to parents looking for things to do with their children during half-term and Halloween."

For tickets and more information, call Haden Hill House on 01384 569444.
