Fake cigarettes seized at car boot sale

CUSTOMS officers have recovered 120,000 counterfeit and smuggled cigarettes after a car boot sale raid near Dudley.

Customs said a man from Wolverhampton was likely to face charges after 60,000 cigarettes were found at the sale in Himley and 60,000 more at his home.

"The actions of those selling such goods rob the public purse of around £3 billion a year," a spokesman said.
