Inquest into fire tragedy couple

AN inquest was due to open today into the suspected murder and suicide of a Redditch couple whose bodies were discovered on their bed in a house fire.

Police have said they believe that Dawn Mansfield, aged 37, was suffocated to death by her partner, Noel Lee, 40, after he accused her of having an affair.

He then poured petrol over himself and Ms Mansfield before setting them both on fire at their home in Loxley Close, Church Hill South.

Coroner Victor Round was due to open the inquest in Stourport-on-Severn.
