Crash driver's amazing escape
A DRIVER was lucky to be alive today when his car was wrecked after ploughing into a tree in Walsall.
The 27-year-old man escaped with minor injuries and shock after his car hit a tree on the central reservation of the A34 Birmingham Road in Walsall at around 3.20am.
The road was closed to traffic in both directions, hitting early commuters heading for Walsall and Birmingham, before it was fully re-opened shortly after 7am.
