Pregnant woman attacked

A MAN being hunted by police after trying to rob a pregnant woman in a supermarket car park.

His 27-year-old victim snapped him on her mobile phone camera as passers-by raced to her aid and detained him.

But moments after the image was taken the man wrestled free and escaped over a wall of the Tesco supermarket in Stratford Road, Hall Green.

The incident happened at about 8pm on July 17 when the un-named woman pulled into the store car park to use the cashpoint.

She was getting out of the car when a man ran up to her and snatched her handbag.

Police have just released the image and appealed for anyone who recognises him to come forward. The man is aged 23-25, 6ft tall and slim. n Anyone with information is asked to call Solihull police on 0845 113 5000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
