Man hurt as car hits bridge

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a smash at a busy Kidderminster junction after a 17-year-old motorist was left with serious head injuries.

The driver's Citroen Saxo collided with the viaduct near McDonald's on Worcester Road just before 8pm on Monday December 11.

The youth, from Tenbury Wells, was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital with a head injury which was described as serious but not life-threatening.

The front seat passenger, a 19-year-old Kidderminster man, was treated for a knee injury, and the rear seat passenger, a male from Bewdley, was treated for minor injuries.
