Motorist dies as car hits wall

A MOTORIST in his 50s died when his car smashed into a wall in the Black Country.

The accident happened just after 6pm yesterday outside the Wilcox factory in Batmanshill Road, Princes End, Tipton.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The crew attempted to stabilise the man's condition at the scene before taking him to Sandwell General Hospital."

However, the man was confirmed dead at hospital.
