Appeal to drivers over tragic motorbike crash

POLICE are seeking the drivers of two vehicles they believe to have vital information about a fatal crash in Dudley.

The accident happened at 5.10pm on Sunday, February 18, in Wolverhampton Street, at the junction with Grange Road.

The collision was between a Suzuki 600 motorcycle and a Peugeot car. The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, suffered shock.

The motorcyclist, 47-year-old Martin Franklin, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are keen to trace the drivers of both a white Vauxhall Astra estate and a red Rover 200 series which were seen at the time of the collision.

The drivers are asked to call the road policing unit at Dudley on 0845 113 5000.
