Two charged over bus attack

TWO men have been charged over a violent attack that brought terror to a Birmingham bus.

West Midlands Police said the pair, both aged 20 and from Saltley, were due to appear before Birmingham magistrates today accused of violent disorder.

The charges were in connection with an incident last Sunday when a gang men forced their way onto a bus and attacked a group of teenage passengers.

The Birmingham Mail reported on Monday how the bus was forced to stop as it headed along Bordesley Green, in Bordesley Green, when it was boxed in by three cars.

Four teenagers travelling on the bus were attacked with batons and knives. Police said no of them were seriously injured.

Detectives from Stechford are still hunting at least two other men in connection with the incident at 5.30pm.
