East heads west for NEC cultural show

BRITAIN'S biggest celebration of Asian culture is under way at the NEC, with thousands expected to attend the Asian Lifestyle Show 2007.

The annual event is being held in the Midlands for the first time after being launched in London four years ago.

The three-day festival will celebrate every aspect of British Asian life, from food and fashion to music and entertainment.

Organisers have vowed this year's event will be better than ever with live shows and celebrity signings.

Topping the bill will be Bollywood stars Lara Dutta and Fardeen Khan, as well as cooking demonstrations from top chefs.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for children and concessions.
