A gripping yarn, wrestlers!

Brian Kendrick, left, and Paul London at Washwood Heath Technology College get to grips with each other and Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.

BIRMINGHAM school pupils were in for a body slamming treat when a pair of wrestlers dropped by.

Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment tag team champions Brian Kendrick and Paul London visited Washwood Heath Technology College - not to share their best moves but to talk about their love of reading.

The dynamic duo talked about their favourite books and read from James And The Giant Peach, by Roald Dahl, to 160 pupils aged 11 to 13.

The men then took part in a question and answer session at the college on Burney Lane, Stechford

Gareth Berry, from the college, said: "They helped the children tremendously.

"We take literacy very seriously here and the tag team has raised the profile of reading and given it a real boost. They talked about how reading can take you anywhere you want."
