Police hunt dead man's stolen watch

Murder victim Andrew Owen.

DETECTIVES investigating the death of a 42-year-old man today issued details of a watch which is thought to have been stolen from the victim.

Officers believe that a neck-chain was also taken from Andrew Owen, who was found dead in Sedgley, West Midlands, on April 15.

Mr Owen is now known to have been drinking in two pubs and is believed to have visited a fast food outlet shortly before his death.

Detective Superintendent Mick Treble said the death was being investigated by a team of dedicated detectives and that a number of lines of inquiry were being followed.

"There is still no definitive cause of death but the pathologist is convinced that Andrew did not die from natural causes. We are awaiting further tests on this."

"A major line of inquiry is to try and trace items of jewellery that were believed taken from Andrew," the officer said.

Anyone with information about the neck-chain or the Jasper Conran watch, is urged to contact the major incident room in West Bromwich on 0845 113 5000.
