Bussed in to perform

ALL aboard for the hottest new music venue in town.

A graduate from the University of Birmingham is on the road to success after converting a double decker bus into a mobile concert stage.

Former engineering student Andrew Teverson, aged 22, is celebrating the launch of The Stage Bus - a converted Travel West Midlands double decker where bands can perform live.

The bus will be in action over the weekend at the Custard Factory in Gibb Street, Digbeth, during the Drop Beats Not Bombs event.

The vehicle has been transformed into an outdoor mobile stage capable of handling an audience of up to 3,000 people. It has a full professional sound and lighting rig and can be set up or packed away in under two hours.

Andrew, who comes from Essex, said: "It's a new concept for outdoor events and outdoor stages. It's a stage in a double decker bus."

The graduate is currently part of the Students Placements for Entrepreneurs in Education project, which provides a helping hand with business ideas.
