Mystery of man found dead in car
POLICE were today appealing for information after a motorist was found dead in his car on a Midland grass verge.
Police in Staffordshire are investigating the incident in Tamworth, which happened at around 8.25pm yesterday.
"The man was driving a blue Ford Focus, travelling along Watling Stree," said a spokesman. "The car appears to have lost control and went across the carriageway, coming to a halt on a grass verge."
Paramedics were called to the scene but discovered the driver of the car, a 42-year-old man who has not been named, was dead.
